At Iwai, we take it all on — from a bagful to hand to those who'll scatter it themselves, to laying in a whole site. "I only want a little" and "I'd like to come pick it up in my light truck" are both perfectly fine, so please don't hold back. Even if you come to collect it, we load it straight onto your vehicle — anything from a light truck up to a large truck — with our own wheel loader, so there's no shovelling the heavy gravel yourself. Shirakawa gravel (3-bu)
Bright and white by the entrance. It sounds underfoot as you step — a help for security, too.
Shirakawa gravel (5-bu)
The same white, a little larger. It settles a wide garden or path with a calm look.
Crushed stone 20-13
Angular stones lock together and resist sinking. The standard for laying a parking space.
Roof-tile chips
A red-brown that sharpens the foot of a flower bed, and holds back weeds too.
River gravel
Rounded, naturally mixed colours. For garden paths, and under the eaves where the rain drips.
Blended soil
Soil blending organic fertiliser with mountain sand. The first scoop for a flower bed or veg patch.
Mountain sand
A fine, beige sand. For levelling, and the base before setting stones. Often used for planting trees.
Bark (organic fertiliser)
Laid at the foot of a tree, it guards against drying and mud splash, and in time returns to the soil.
Washed sand
Cleanly washed sand. For a child's sandbox or filling joints between paving. Used as lawn topdressing and mortar sand, too.
Crushed stone 40-0
Compacts down firm when tamped. For building the base of a driveway or parking lot.
Recycled crushed stone (RC)
Concrete that's finished its first job, reborn. For a base, it keeps costs down and does the job well.
Crushed base rubble (warikuri)
For retaining soil, or as the centrepiece that sharpens a garden's view. Sold from a single stone.

To lay it cleanly takes work: levelling the ground, putting down a base to keep weeds out, and evening out the depth. If you're "not confident doing it yourself" or it's "too big a job," our craftsmen take it on, from the groundwork to the finish.

Yes — we sell it from a single bag. People sometimes feel bad, thinking "is it okay to ask for just this little?" — but please, don't. From a small amount for someone spreading it themselves, to covering a whole site, we take it all on.
Yes. With a kei truck, a 2-ton truck, or a 3-ton truck, we deliver to the spot you specify, matched to the amount you need. Picking it up yourself at the shop — "I'd like to come get it in my kei truck" — is fine too.
We start from what you're laying it for. Holding back weeds, improving drainage, brightening up the area around your home, security along a dark path at night — the right gravel changes with the purpose. So you won't have regrets after spreading it, tell us first what it's for.
Yes. Materials on their own, or with the laying work included — either way, it's your choice. "I'll try spreading it myself first" is welcome, too. Leave it to our crew only when it's a large, tough area or you're unsure about the base — that's plenty.
