GRAVEL & STONE

Gravel & Stone

One layer underfoot, and the space around your home changes.
As simple as scattering it, as solid as laying it in.

From a single bag, to delivery by the truckload.

The back corner plagued by weeds, the path that turns to mud with every rain, the blind spot of the house you mind after dark. The small troubles of daily life ease up a good deal with just a layer of gravel. White gravel brightens the area by the entrance, and underfoot it sounds out as you step — a help for security, too.

At Iwai, we take it all on — from a bagful to hand to those who'll scatter it themselves, to laying in a whole site. "I only want a little" and "I'd like to come pick it up in my light truck" are both perfectly fine, so please don't hold back. Even if you come to collect it, we load it straight onto your vehicle — anything from a light truck up to a large truck — with our own wheel loader, so there's no shovelling the heavy gravel yourself. Prices are listed in the table on this page.

FEATURES

About gravel & stone with Iwai.

Choosing gravel to suit the purpose

Starting from what it's for.

To hold back weeds, to drain better, to brighten the area around the home, for security — even the same gravel has its strengths and weaknesses depending on the purpose. So you're not left in trouble after it's down, we first ask what you're laying it for, and then help you choose.

From a little to a lot — delivery included

We'll carry the amount you need.

"Is it all right to order just this little bit?" — please, don't give it a second thought. By light truck, 2t truck, or 3t truck, to match the amount you need, we deliver right to the spot you choose.

Leave the laying to us, too

For those uneasy about just scattering it.

To lay it cleanly takes work: levelling the ground, putting down a base to keep weeds out, and evening out the depth. If you're "not confident doing it yourself" or it's "too big a job," our craftsmen take it on, from the groundwork to the finish.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

QCan I buy just a single bag of gravel?

Yes — we sell it from a single bag. People sometimes feel bad, thinking "is it okay to ask for just this little?" — but please, don't. From a small amount for someone spreading it themselves, to covering a whole site, we take it all on.

QDo you deliver?

Yes. With a kei truck, a 2-ton truck, or a 3-ton truck, we deliver to the spot you specify, matched to the amount you need. Picking it up yourself at the shop — "I'd like to come get it in my kei truck" — is fine too.

QI don't know which gravel to choose.

We start from what you're laying it for. Holding back weeds, improving drainage, brightening up the area around your home, security along a dark path at night — the right gravel changes with the purpose. So you won't have regrets after spreading it, tell us first what it's for.

QCan I buy just the gravel or sand as materials, without the installation?

Yes. Materials on their own, or with the laying work included — either way, it's your choice. "I'll try spreading it myself first" is welcome, too. Leave it to our crew only when it's a large, tough area or you're unsure about the base — that's plenty.

QI'm not sure how much I'll need.

If you tell us the rough size of the area you'd like to cover, we'll work out an estimate of the amount together. Too much just leaves you with leftovers, so let's start from the right quantity. For guide prices, we go by the price table on this page.
